What does justice look like to you? Meeting the offender and getting an apology? Having your damaged property repaired, or stolen property replaced?
If you were the victim of anti-social behaviour or low-level crime and wanted to pick a punishment, what you you choose?
By sharing your views with your PCC, you can help shape how ASB and low-level crime are dealt with in Norfolk.
At the beginning of the month, Stephen Bett launched a consultation to find out the views of local people to help formulate a list of ‘community remedies’ for Norfolk.
“Community remedies offer a serious alternative to the court process,” he said, “and they give victims a choice.
“Use of a community remedy can gain closure for the victim and help the offender understand the impact of what they’ve done and break the cycle of crime”.
