The annual Norwich Pride event took place in the city over the weekend, attended by Deputy PCC Jenny McKibben.
The key message of Norwich Pride – a celebration from the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community for everyone – is that Norwich should be a place where everyone can feel safe and proud to be themselves.
Jenny met with stall holders and talked to those enjoying the celebrations about how safe they felt in Norwich and the rest of the county. “I fully support what Norwich Pride stands for and was really heartened to hear from a number of people that they felt Norfolk was becoming a more tolerant place”, she said.
“This was the biggest and best Pride yet, drawing people together from far and wide to join in with the celebrations.”
